Lady Leshurr - "Friggin L" Mixtape

Monday, 13 June 2011

After the great "L-Day" release from February, I must say oh how I've waited for another one of Lady Leshurr's great mixtapes!

Lesh is one of very few rappers that actually has this capability to be this versatile, she always deliver what ever she might dive into, like when she does her cover of the Diplo/Afrojack-produced Chris Breezy-tune 'Look At Me Now'. There's a reason why this has so many views, Lesh pack, seals and deliver, esp. around "Busta's" part 1:50 and over at 03:25 #BOOM:

Yeah. So without further due, here goes "Friggin L" where Lesh gives tunes by Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Tinchy Stryder and many more the Lesh style-treatment, peep the complete tracklist and grab the tape below:

Adam Tensta - 'Scared of the Dark' Official Video

A week late, but better late then never right? Here it goes, the official video for Adam Tensta's lead single off his second album "Scared of the Dark" featuring Billy Kaven. The video, directed by Ruben Sznajderman was shot in Lagos, Nigeria and this is how you do a proper video people, (Skepta, you in particular) please take notes.

Watch after the jump and keep your eyes peeled for the official remix pack of the track dropping soon:

Drake - 'Marvin's Room', Announce "Take Care" Release Date & Features on SBTRKT Remix

Friday, 10 June 2011

I know I've slept on Drake lately. That new song he released a couple of weeks ago called 'Dreams Money Can Buy' never really got to me, but this one that dropped while I was asleep last night, proper Drake. 'Marvin's Room' is produced by Noah '40' Shebib and Drake also took the time to announce that the first official single release from his upcoming second album "Take Care" will drop in July and that the album will land on shelves the 24th of October.

Then it's this little hot ass tune by SBTRKT that I think has become my beach tune for this summer. 'Wildfire' originally featured Yukimi Nagano from the Swedish indie electron group Little Dragon, however Drake steps on the remix and even if the whole setup of Drake, SBTRKT and Yukimi is quite odd, it works oh so well.

In Wait for "Go! Pop! Bang!" Rye Rye Unleash 'Never Will Be Mine' ft. Robyn

Thursday, 9 June 2011

Yes, after Rye Rye released her massive "RYEot PowRR"-mixtape back in February I also hoped that June 14th would be the final push back date of Rye Rye's long awaited debut album "Go! Pop! Bang!" but sadly it's not. The album is pushed back yet again and the new and final release date will be announced in the coming weeks, hopefully it will be out before the end of summer?

But there's no need for tears as she just released a new single featuring the one and only: Robyn. 'Never Will be Mine' heavy samples Robyn's smash hit 'Be Mine!' from her self titled album "Robyn" that dropped back in 2005 over here in Scandinavia and in 2008 in the rest of the world. Apparently a video for the single is also in the works.

Listen to 'Never Will Be Mine' below and buy it off iTunes or Amazon.

Kreayshawn Officially Signs to Columbia Records, 'Drum N Based' x Starrset & K.FLAY's 'Gucci Gucci' Remix

So after rumours flying around like crazy, it's now official! East Oakland's Natassia "Kreayshawn" Zolot has officially signed with Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. Of course, after it became official some wastemen try to get some shine and steal the thunder, just look how someone named Dukems raise his voice in RR's comment field, claiming that Kreayshawn stole 'Gucci Gucci' from him, and that she owes him... yeah #Curtain.

Dukems, you know what? Long before you did your mixtape, Enur did the "Gucci Gucci Prada Prada" in 2008 on "Raggatronic" with The Chopper City Boyz & Nicki Minaj in 'Ucci Ucci' so well, who's the biter again?

Well, back to the good (and relevant) news, the signing! Crossing my fingers that this major deal will be a good thing, allowing Kreayshawmn to do what she does, be the creative genius she is and not go all downhill like Lady Soveriegn did when she was signed with Jay-Z.

Kreayshawn's 'Gucci Gucci' drops via digital retailers next week on Tuesday the 14th of June and her forthcoming full-length debut album is due later this year. Until then, enjoy these two goodies I managed to find when I did a little raid in the inbox. First a nice little nice bassy gem from Starrset called 'Drum N Based' and second this remix by K.FLAY of 'Gucci Gucci':

DaVinChe ft. Baby Blue & Cleo Sol - 'Ready to Go'

Wednesday, 8 June 2011

This was a nice surprise in the mailbox this morning to say the least. Here goes the first promo track called 'Ready to Go' off DaVinChe's upcoming album that will be out later this year.

DaVinChe, most known as the man behind hits like Kano's 'P's & Q's', Tinchy Stryder's 'Something About Your Smile' & 'Breathe' and many more now is ready to showcase his vocal ability for the very first time. Featured on the track is also vocalist Cleo Sol and Baby Blue who actually was over here in Stockholm Monday's recording tracks for her upcoming debut album.

Adam Tensta x Street Fighter 3 & Bankmenn ft. Joey & Adam Tensta - 'Dra Hjem!'

While we wait for the official video of Adam tensta's 'Scared of the Dark' to drop, let's enjoy some other nice goodies. You all know how much I LOVE Nintendo/video game-oozing music right? That Capcom's Street Fighter is one of my favourite video games in this world (yeah, I'm bloody good at it to) and this wow, Adam Tensta x Capcom x Street Fighter 3 = the perfect match!

Peep the trailer and Adam's new official music for it below (hopefully out on download soon) as well as something I talked about Monday's, his feature off Bankmenn's "BLP4LIFE" (grab the whole release here), just press the arrow on the soundcloud:
